Chuckle. Coffee in the courtyard without a blanket. It has been a very comfortable day, not too hot, not too cold but just right.

In some areas of America, they're getting pretty severe storms and flooding.

I also saw a headline: "Severe Weather Strike." At this point, I wouldn't mind if the weather went on strike.

But I hear that you're not that far from places where record heat is being experienced...

Its been very toasty a little further south. Rome had ambulances driving around carrying water and aid for those hit by the almost 42c (record) temp. I have a friend in Spain who hasn't left his house and air conditioning for almost 2 weeks.

We've had it up to 38c a few days ago but it's getting cooler by the day

Kitchen renovations due to start Monday, next few days will be spent emptying out cupboards and trying to convince the Mrs to chuck stuff we don't use. I can't wait for the old gas cooktop to go and the new induction one to be fitted.

You used bottled gas? What size?
And the real question, how long did a bottle last.

I was surprised to read that some places are almost uninhabitable because of the combination of temperature and humidity. That just happened in Iran according to the news reports.
