I don't know how to do that... I couldn't even snap the old S key back on...
I can be a bumbling idiot with these kinds of things, but my oldest couldn't do it, either, so I assume that means its not fixable.
Maybe a quick fix at the computer garage.
You oughta get a mouse. They're good pets. I recommend a male over a female; they're easier to train and get along with.
There doesn't seem to be the same distinction with pet rats, though, so if you decide you'll lose a mouse and a rat would be easier to keep ahold of, either gender is friendly and trainable.

I had a rat I used to color on with children's markers. She loved it!

Do they laugh when you tickle them?
Yes. It's too high-pitched for the human ears, but scientists have detected the laugh...and much other rodent vocal communication...using special recording instruments...
