I recall reading one of the comments on the YouTube page for the video of Hank Williams Jr.'s "A Country Boy Can Survive" where they said that "anyone who doesn't get this song isn't a real American." In terms of birth and citizenship, I was born in the USA, born in a dead man's town, the first kick I took was when I hit the ground, end like a dog that's been beat too much, 'til you spend half your life just to cover it up.

The problem, of course, being a question saying a real American can answer it despite the fact the average American is worse than sucks crap through 10 bricks when it comes to geography and finding things on a map.
And there's the issue that unless you know the specific landscape that can essentially be any about anywhere in the SouthWest up through the Rocky States.
