Before we moved to France we had to get rid of our library, over 4000 books? Some went to the local library, some to second hand book sellers and some to charity shops. It was sad that they had to go, there just isn't room for a library here.
We did keep around 400, mostly text books (and Terry Pratchett)
I'm estimating we sit a bit shy of 1000 books in our personal library.
What is the best Terry Pratchett book to begin with? I have some interest in reading some of his stuff
The Discworld books are a must, most of his other work is aimed at children though adults can find them good reading.
So, Discworld... It depends if you want to read the whole series or just a book or two. They can be read in any order but i think that unless you start at the beginning (The Colour Of Magic) you'll miss some of the nuances later in the series
Just odd books, all are funny but try Going Postal, Reaper Man, The Truth, Soul Music.

First scare of the day, a gigantic huntsman spider doing backstroke in the dogs water bowl. At least it was an easy eviction, just a carry outside and tip, no trying to encourage it to walk into the dustpan and sit there until the outside is reached.

In both books, yes. But I don't think I'll be trying Tolliver Groat's home-made remedies. I was a stamp collector but never a pin collector so I avoided the Stanley Howler path as well.
