I don't mind Tone, well I don't mind the 2 songs I've heard but this is my favourite Wild Thing Cover.

And this is my 2nd favourite.

To be fair, those are probably the two songs that I've heard. I'm interested to listen to others. There aren't that many. I don't think he put out that many albums.

Maybe the longest version of the song I've ever heard. Love the guitars and going into the audience.
And this is my 2nd favourite.

It was good. I don't know the Divinyls to well. Kinda interested in the movie that was in the background of the video.

This version by the Troggs is considered proto metal and is cited as influential for a lot of hard rock and metal bands. As seen in some of the examples here.
Hendrix was part of that small group of guitarists that could make it produce sounds you didn't know a guitar could make. Pretty heavy. It is a good song for Hendrix.
I hadn't heard this version before. Keyboards are a nice touch. Much crisper than than Hendrix or the Divinyls. Closer to the original in that respect. I'm coming to appreciate Warren Zevon more these days.

OK I'm done, but there are a whole lot more that covered wild thing.
Jeff Beck is another guitar wizard that could make it do his bidding. Probably my favorite of that group.

I didn't know Krokus or Cheap Trick did a cover. I guess you're right, it is widely covered due to its influence.

I forgot about Sam Kinison and Jessica Hahn. I've heard some stories about that video.

Getting ready to have a winning shower after doing battle with weeds and overgrown plants this afternoon. The battle was won but the war continues.
