What?Words to live by on RF
In 2013 during an attack of poetry I wrote this to honor the fool (from olden times)What?
in 1981 I quoted this quite often......"if you listen to fools the mob rules"In 2013 during an attack of poetry I wrote this to honor the fool (from olden times)
Covering himself with a variegated petticoat,
the wise fool babbles and bells his sage jokes.
His wordy scepter is head filled with vacuous thoughts
which he scatters hither and tither as he capers about.
His air filled pouch contains only the most common words
which he strings together in cartwheels of celebration.
Some cast eyes on him and call him motley.
He smiles to himself and keeps his breeches closed.
Meaning: The Fool represents new beginnings, having faith in the future, being inexperienced, not knowing what to expect, having beginner's luck, improvisation and believing in the universe.
