It was on fire when I laid down on it.
I don't know but it wasn't bad.I've never lived on a river bank. Nor had an account there.
I wonder if a person has never lived until they've lived on a river bank.

When a woman starts telling of dreams of a river god named Mr. Bob, I can't top that.Yep.......the Bob gambit, again..
I visit friends who live on the banks of the Delaware River......not a bad way to wake up...I've never lived on a river bank. Nor had an account there.

OK so here was this dream - I dreamed that I was carrying my youngest daughter and I was walking across a stream or small river on rocks and suddenly this RIVER GOD NAMED MR. BOB came roaring out from under a bridge and told me there was a price to pay for crossing his river and he took out a pocket knife and laid my daughter's hand on a rock and just started sawing it off. When I woke up, my hand was curled under me and hurt like the dickens whatever that means. I was so upset though that I still got out of bed and went and looked at both my daughter's hands. When a woman starts telling of dreams of a river god named Mr. Bob, I can't top that.
Oh the house wasn't close thankfully.@Kathryn and @Stonetree I grew up among spring-fed, clear Ozark streams. They had a few cabins along them. I floated a lot of those streams too. They are really beautiful, especially in the mornings with the mist coming up off them against the rising sun. But flooding was an issue that would make living closely along them sort of dicey.
Or a Marshall Tucker Band. You could have a Credence Clearwater Revival
New Riders of the Purple SageOr a Marshall Tucker Band.
That is a startling dream. I would do the same thing as soon as I woke up from something like that.OK so here was this dream - I dreamed that I was carrying my youngest daughter and I was walking across a stream or small river on rocks and suddenly this RIVER GOD NAMED MR. And I didn't know anyone named Bob! I did eventually know a Bob but he was nothing to be afraid of.That is a startling dream. I would do the same thing as soon as I woke up from something like that.
I used to wake up occasionally and just go into the kid's room and watch to see if they were breathing. I probably woke from dreams as well, but I don't recall a particular one.
Not to you.......Bob was not so nice to me!And I didn't know anyone named Bob! I did eventually know a Bob but he was nothing to be afraid of.
I find the external influences on our dreams to be both interesting and telling. A physical experience manifesting in a dream is not unusual.OK so here was this dream - I dreamed that I was carrying my youngest daughter and I was walking across a stream or small river on rocks and suddenly this RIVER GOD NAMED MR. Yes, and I had recently read a book about sawing someone's hand off with a pocketknife. Which was a terrible scene that I guess really resonated with me.I find the external influences on our dreams to be both interesting and telling. A physical experience manifesting in a dream is not unusual.
My little brother woke up screaming and sick with the flu once. He said he was dreaming that he was floating down a river on a giant lily pad when a crocodile swam up underneath him and bit him in half. Interesting how his dream mind interpreted the pain he was experiencing. It probably helped that we had recently seen an old Johnny Weissmuller, Tarzan movie with lily pads just like he described.
I think there is a joke or a line from a movie that attributes great power to someone named Bob. I can't recall. And I didn't know anyone named Bob! I did eventually know a Bob but he was nothing to be afraid of.
It is observations like that that lead me to the idea of making my own dreams. I daydream prior to sleep in order to have an actual dream about what I was daydreaming about. Sometimes it works.Yes, and I had recently read a book about sawing someone's hand off with a pocketknife. Which was a terrible scene that I guess really resonated with me.
