I measured the hole and used an on line calculator to work out how much dirt, it said 1/2 a cubic metre. Then we had a professional landscaper here and he said it needs 2 cubic metres so I played it safe and got 1 cubic metre. The hole is full and I have half of it left 
I wish I could. I love moving soil. I've done a fair bit of that at one time or another. I even have my own shovels.
There's different kinds of dirt. There's dirt dirt. Then there's what someone at the park calls "dirt" as in dog poop. Then there's gossip dirt.

Ah. I thought maybe it was an impression made by some sort of landing craft. Or perhaps, an old mine starting to collapse.
