I think you made a wise choice myself. I always chose dead spider over anything. Hey, if you come in my house you have to live by my rules.
We generally let spider live, other than yellow sacs.
Sam got some nasty bites from those, and has a couple craters in his face due to those bites.

I let spiders live outside but inside is another matter. I haven't seen one inside in a long time however, maybe even a year or more.
Years ago, we had bedbugs.
I used to put spiders under the bed to keep the bedbug population to a dull roar.

Gotta do what you gotta do.
Sam got rid of the bedbugs with a sweater lint roller and duct tape, but it took awhile.

I bet. Yuck to the spiders though.
The bedbugs were way more yuck.
I was actually afraid of spiders back then, too.
The fear seems to have vanished in the last year or two.
