well then, why do you want bears
I didn't want bears, you suggested bears would be better to have around.
I guess I wouldn't object to a bear, but they'd have to get along with the cats, and the neighbor on the left side. They're free to disagree with the right side neighbors.

Well....you see.... bears are not very good at following rules and regulations...other than the ones they set themselves....but they do not discriminate.....they would agree and disagree with both neighbors equally,..... but they'd eat the cats...so..... I guess bears would not be a good fit.... that is...if you plan on keeping the cats
Couldn't I find a bear that likes cats but will eat the old jerk who lives next door?

Other than the chopper flying around for an hour or so at 1am I slept well. I guess the cops were tracking a stolen car or something.
I wonder if the rest of the world is having the car stealing epidemic we're having here? When I drive to the next town which is about 20 minutes away it's usual to pass 3 or 4 burnt out cars these days. A few years ago I'd only see 1 or 2 a year.
