They are like every other day, most weeks
Interesting. I think Saturday waits all week for me and I want to appreciate that.
Because it is my time. If I decide to use that time for work, for play or just sleeping, it is my choice.

I think because it's a day off for many.
That's really nice of it. I wish someone waited all week to see me.
It is a construct. Monday could be Saturday if it had any sense at all.

That's true. I slept late only because it was Saturday.
Maybe because it's actually Saturn Day.
Of course, Saturn is also associated with Saturnalia, kind of like the "Red Hour" in the Star Trek episode "Return of the Archons."

I was up at around 6 am. But that is also because Friday nights are mine too and I crashed early.

Thank you, the weather should be PERFECT!
Shortly, I will be chauffeuring several women to a "Witches Night Out". Sometimes, I loan my time to others. In this case, it may not have been entirely voluntary. But that's OK. It will be quiet and allow time for barbeque.
All the fairs and festivals are one of my favorite parts of this time of year. We have Octoberfest at one of the nearby communities of significant German heritage. It is also a community with a significant and pleasant number of local wineries. I may take some time before the end of the month to indulge myself for a weekend.
Of course, the Red Hour on Star Trek involved indulgences and liberties that aren't usually available at most local festivals. And many that I wouldn't partake in if they were. But the sentiment is similar even if the practice is taken rather far afield out of the norm.
