I don't really care what is said about me but the continuous attacks on a mate get to me.
Seems I was mistaken. I think that the continual passive aggressive assault has managed to bother me. It's been almost a year and a half at least. I hadn't thought it was, but I'm beginning to recognize that it has influenced me even when I didn't think it had.

And what would a biologist know about biology anyway. In a discussion about biology, I might as well be talking to a duck.

Anyway, thanks again for being a friend and watching my back.

I know it bothers me because of it being repeated so much and the fact they have promised 2 or 3 times to stop doing it.

I find the promises are as empty as the claims and as meaningful.

I seem to have taken offense at it while trying to ignore it. And not just from the primary source but anyone that takes what I see as an arrogant view of the supremacy of their own baseless position.

I think I've only been recently coming to recognize my feelings on the constant barrage. Hence my renewed interest and use of the ignore list. I figure reason, ethics and decorum won't stop it, so best to ignore it from my end.

I'd rather not end up joining them. If you can't reason with them, ignore them.

I try and ignore but sometimes it gets to me because I don't like seeing a mate treated that way.

Anyway... I'm binge watching reaction videos at the moment, that's much more fun.

I've noticed a recent trend in naming new species after bands and musicians.

This list has some new insect species as well as a few other organisms and even fossil species.

Ptomaphagus thebeatles: A beetle named after The Beatles

Scaptia beyonceae: A horsefly named after Beyoncé, with a rear end covered in yellow hairs that make it look like it's dipped in gold

Kakaia gaga: A treehopper named after Lady Gaga, with horns and a unique fashion sense

Cirolana mercuryi: An East African isopod named after Queen's Freddie Mercury

Orectochilus orbisonorum: A whirligig beetle named after Roy Orbison

Cryptocercus garciai: A wood roach named after Jerry Garcia

Masiakasaurus knopfleri: A small predatory theropod dinosaur named after Mark Knopfler

Pachygnatha zappa: A spider named after Frank Zappa

Pseudocorinna brianeno: An Afrotropical spider named after Brian Eno

Dendropsophus stingi: A small yellow frog named after Sting

Leuctra dylani: Named after Bob Dylan

Metallichneumon neurospastarchus: Named after Metallica's album Master of Puppets

Bush viper: Named after James Hetfield, the lead singer of Metallica

Rollinschaeta myoplena: A fireworm named after Henry Rollins, the frontman of Black Flag and the Rollins Band

Sericomyrmex radioheadi: An ant species endemic to Venezuelan Amazonia, named after Radiohead

I suppose taxonomists got tired of naming new species after famous scientists and wanted a more diverse field of names. Now that I think about it, I believe I've seen a much larger list that includes AC/DC. I'll have to see if I can find that.

Enlighten me. What are reaction videos? I occasionally watch videos of the British voice teacher review videos by rock vocalists and she gives her opinion on them. Are they something like that?

That's it...

It occurred to me that might be what you meant. I rather enjoy them.

I've been watching reaction videos to Les Claypool recently. I knew he was a good bassist, but apparently he is considered one of the best in the world.

I've also been making spaghetti sauce, I was given a bucketful of cherry tomatoes so I've been letting simmer all afternoon

Maybe I should make reaction videos of me reading the evolution v creation forum.
