The Left And Obama Is/Was Always About Giving Jobs To Foreigners And Illegals And Not US Citizens

Do you? I don't believe in giving rewards for hiring foreign graduates. There are too many loopholes to this process. This is different than in the past when immigrants moved to this country and made it their home. Today's immigrants take unfair advantage and send their money home. Thus, it's the ugly illegal immigrants.

No, I believe U. S. Citizens should be able to work anywhere. I also believe people from other nations should be able work anywhere. You should not have one standard for the demographic you happen to like and a different one for all the rest.

Show me a link where American citizens can work anywhere? I assume you mean for an non-US company. Do they have programs where American citizens get preference over their own citizens? And then to top it off you twist what I am saying just to fit your weird views. It's like you missed the whole point.

That's because there is not one.

There are problems that cannot be solved only minimized. And these types of problems suffer from the rule of diminishing returns. We already spend a fortune on border security. Our borders are more secure than ever (we spend more, have more tech on the border, and have vastly more agents working the border). So at this point there is no answer that solves the problem. We need to be asking a different question. The question is how much money is worthwhile to spend on the border.

If money is no object, as I've stated before, we should just invade Mexico. It would take us 20 minutes, and we could decimate the cartels all in one swoop. And if those Canadians start looking at us funny...

Okay, so we can occupy mexico and then have the even more leaky border with Guatemala to defend. I have been to that border. It is far more a difficult border to manage.

I didn't say that. I said I believe that is the way it should be. What's weird about believing people should have a right to work anywhere they please?

You wish to prevent people from other countries from working here, but you never mention making it reciprocal.

In other words you would be okay with occupying all of Central and possibly South America if necessary?

We should be able to hold the line in Panama.

Obviously I am not terribly serious. My point being that a wall is along the same vein. It is impractical and won't change much in the long run.

If you truly want jobs back in America then the burden is on the American consumer. The best way to start doing this is STOP SHOPPING AT WAL-MART. Wal-Mart forces manufacturing oversees for everyday low prices. If you want American jobs then stop buying products made in other countries by slave labor and buy "MADE IN AMERICA" again.

It's a chicken and egg problem. People can't buy American because it's too expensive for their minimum wage budget caused by all the good paying jobs going overseas. And people have minimum wage jobs because they don't buy American.

But I also think it's a bit more complex than that: corporations and those at the top have responsibilities too.

The 1% will only ever do what is profitable. They don't care about the other 99%. In fact in a lot of cases the 99% are worth more dead than alive. Wal-Mart Is #1 employer of elderly and legally takes out life insurance policies on low level workers like cashiers and door greeters. These life insurance policies don't payout to the deceased ones family but rather to Wal-Mart. And now republicans want to defund Medicare by 800 billion dollars and kick 32 million people off healthcare. I see big profits in Wal-Mart future.

40% of Wal-Mart employees are on food stamps. And 25% of all food stamp money is spent at Wal-Mart. So taxpayers have to subsidize these workers because Wal-Mart won't pay a decent wage. Then these subsidies are spent and used to keep this business open. Yay capitalism.
