You think that if we stopped attacking them now they would give up their ambition to be a regional power? Isn't that like assuming that when Soviet Russia collapsed the USA gave up it's super ambitions?

Iran wants to be the dominant power in a place that controls the petro-jugular of the world. And the USA is no longer in a position to stop them, thanks to GWB.
