The building is a symbol, as is the act of destroying it. Symbols are given power by people. Alone, a symbol is meaningless, but with enough people, blowing up a building can change the world.

Jesus said, Whom do men say that I am?

And his disciples answered and said, Some say you are John the Baptist returned from the dead; others say Elias, or other of the old prophets.

And Jesus answered and said, But whom do you say that I am?

Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Logos, existing in the Father as His rationality and then, by an act of His will, being generated, in consideration of the various functions by which God is related to his creation, but only on the fact that Scripture speaks of a Father, and a Son, and a Holy Spirit, each member of the Trinity being coequal with every other member, and each acting inseparably with and interpenetrating every other member, but an economic subordination within God, a division which makes the substance no longer simple."

And Jesus answering, said, "What?"

Faith is a device of self-delusion, a slight of hand done with words and emotions founded on any irrational notion that can be dreamed up.
Faith is the attempt to coerce truth to surrender to whim.
It is trying to breathe life into a lie by trying to outshine reality with the beauty of wishes.
Misery, iniquity, and utter destruction lurk in the shadows outside its full light, where half-truths snare the faithful disciples, the deeply feeling believers, the selfless followers.
Unlike reason, faith and feelings provide no boundary to limit any delusion, any whim.
They are a virulent poison, giving the numbing illusion of moral sanction to every depravity ever hatched.

Violet.
I think I look sad or tired...
or grinchy or at least too serious in this x-mass photo.
Do you agree?

I'm definately going to have to change it.
It doesn't reflect my winter whimsy spirit at all!

It's so weird.
I hate smiling for photos.
Always have.

Gotta catch me off guard.:D

We finally put up the Christmas tree. I think it looks nice.
My right ear is plugged. It has been for months. The doctor has even looked at it.
My cats have been sleeping in my bed. I have to move them so I can sleep. ;)
Singer Dan Fogelberg has died. I used to listen to his music all the time. I had his greatest hits on a cassette tape.

Tips-
Never take a sleeping pill and a laxative at the same time.
Never take a diuretic right before a road trip.
Always chew your food thoroughly when you eat.
Never call a guy whose nickname is Ox a pansy.

Can't brain. Has dumb.
I know a GREAT song for this thread!

"this is the song that never ends
and it goes on and on my friends
some people started singing it,
not knowing what it was,
and they'll continue singing it forever, just because...

this is the song that never ends,
and it goes on and on, my friends
some people......."

(well you get the picture!

Meth, they used to sing that song at the end of Lambchop's Play Along show back in the 90s. My kids loved it.
Only a few people are posting. Doesn't anyone have anything nonsense to say to make it longer?
