Of course the body stays together when you die, it is the electrical energy (lifeforce) or whatever you want to call it that leaves and becomes the spirit (ghost). Again, I can only explain it with my knowledge and experience and I really don't expect you to believe me...
You seem to be bouncing between many ideas. If you believe in a lifeforce ok but it is not electrical energy. You will have to tell me the nature of this life force, what exactly is it? I understand mystical experience as I have had many, and I think I get what you are getting at but you are missing the mark.
It is possible for people to have "out of body" experiences without drugs. Although I had to die to have my experiences (which were different then "out of body"), I do know of one person who is able to leave their body and interact with things to prove she was there. She was able to float to a spot that was impossible to reach without a massive amout of equipment and leave a sign that she was there. I lost the $100 bet, but did marry the girl 25 years later
Of course you can have OBEs without drugs. You can make yourself feel high without drugs as well. It is still a product of the brain, kind of like visualization / meditation. I am sad to inform you that that you were scammed out of $100.
Sorry the truth annoys you. (you should try it from my end...)
No, missing the likely truth because of new agey nonsense is what annoys me. You have completely missed what quantum mysticism can show. Let me help you; it shows monism. Everything that exists is of one source, a source that causes vibration which causes matter. There cannot be a soul / body distinction if all is made of the same material. Now this is theoretical but logical. If we want to go out on a limb and merge this with the new agey stuff, perhaps there is a way to bind the individual consciousness to the fundamental source, but there is no evidence. Even if this is the case, when you die you die. Some sort of surviving awareness would exist in a completely different respect than now. However, with monism the consciousness and brain are indistinct from each other, and psychology also shows that they go together.
