"The Moral Collapse of the Republican Party"

Since most House Republicans first voted for the measure, then I guess that pretty much tells us the degree of honesty that they have. Even Ryan caved.

It's sorta funny how self-proclaimed Republicans are so willing to throw their own party under the bus by using bait & switch with Trump, but then they resort to their same lemming pattern with their party after that as if we didn't notice. And then if that doesn't work, it's all Hillary's fault.

Hey Republicans: you selected Trump, you now own him, and you are therefore responsible for not only what the soon to be Groper-In-Chief does, you're also responsible for what your party does. Maybe it's time for you to grow up and take responsibility for a change and not blame others for what you selected.
You also selected Trump.
How, you ask?
You ran Hillary instead of Bernie, thus presenting us with a terrible choice.
So I picked the likely least terrible.
It's your fault.

In 2018, if Democrats don't fair well (which they typically don't given it's not a Presidential election), I suspect they can build on moment of "anyone but Trump," and as well for Congress if they can play upon the sentiments that most people are just tired and over of hearing about things like gay marriage and transgender restroom use and medical marijuana that we end up with a Democrat Congress and President.
However, if Democrats do well in 2018, I don't voters being as willing to give power to one party like that. It will be interesting though to see how the Republican and Trump supporter's "We won, that's all that matters" plays out, because in all reality the Democrats only needed a few scoops more votes and the tables would have been turned. Due to this, hopefully in 2020 we'll see a massive Democrat movement to get people to go vote, and vote Blue.
I think this time is different and giving up on 2018 is a total mistake. The right did not make that mistake and the left should learn and I think has learned.

There are a network of Trolls that are on all of these discussion board. Their job is to a paint a picture in our minds about someone that they are paid to destroy their image. They throws out something on the board that is not true and thinking that no one has any idea of the truth. They are taught that the majority of the people only receives their info from gossip, without investigating the story to see if it is true or not, because everybody has busy lives to live and doesn't has the time to investigate. These Trolls' organizations pays for these online Trolls membership fee so that they'll have status on these boards. and these Trolls with good status group up together to attack the ones that bring in the truth . And so basically that they are putting out untrue gossip to embedded it in the minds of the listeners. Like it says , the first impression sticks the longest. And so they has already has put this impression of this person in our minds. But the ones that opposes their info will have an hard time scratching it out. But to prevent them from sticking it in our minds, is to make a more better impression that will override theirs. Physical images help a lot to cover over the picture that they are trying to paint in someone minds by the use of words. But to detect these trolls. that they always contradicting themselves. That is what cops use to do when interrogating someone, that they look to see if their stories contradict from someone else stories. If it contradicts then it did not happen that away.

Psychological warfare (PSYWAR), or the basic aspects of modern psychological operations (PSYOP), have been known by many other names or terms, including MISO, Psy Ops, Political Warfare, "Hearts and Minds," and propaganda.[1] The term is used "to denote any action which is practiced mainly by psychological methods with the aim of evoking a planned psychological reaction in other people."[2] Various techniques are used, and are aimed at influencing a target audience's value system, belief system, emotions, motives, reasoning, or behavior. It is used to induce confessions or reinforce attitudes and behaviors favorable to the originator's objectives, and are sometimes combined with black operations or false flag tactics. It is also used to destroy the morale of enemies through tactics that aim to depress troops' psychological states.[3][4] Target audiences can be governments, organizations, groups, and individuals, and is not just limited to soldiers. Civilians of foreign territories can also be targeted by technology and media so as to cause an effect in the government of their country.[5] Psychological warfare - Wikipedia

It all sounds so complicated.

Fool!
Have you not figured out yet that I'd let the market determine wages.
That's not what you wrote earlier - I was responding to what you wrote which was that higher wages would be a mistake.

That would be better.
The libertarian international will expel you for stating that government subsidies are worth considering. Are you sure you're not a crypto neo-left libertarian?

Dirndlekopf!
I'm arguing that it's too complex to predict so specific an outcome.
Here I'm thinking I should offer you salt and pepper to eat your earlier words.

Just someone's opinion based upon faulty analysis.
Experts opined that Obamacare would lower costs.
Experts said Saddam had WMDs.
Experts predicted increased hurricane frequency.
How'd those work out?
In this case it was not expert predictions but evidence based on studies of what really did happen.

I do share your disdain for so-called experts who in effect consult their belly lint while making predictions especially when stated with no leavening of humility. On the other hand, I appreciated Sam Wang who said he'd eat a bug if Hillary lost and when she was defeated actually ate a bug.

But also some knowledgeable people who are in fact experts don't make ignorant stupid mistakes. One in health care that I'm aware of, Joe Flower, said that the health care law was not really designed to lower costs but to cover people.

We were talking about a federally imposed minimum wage, Berford!

In a non-libertarian country, the most we can hope for is the more libertarian of 2 alternatives.
But when I become Dictator For Life...watch out!

You must be trying really hard to misunderstand.

Poor reasoning from studies of individual states....I'm not convinced.

'Experts' also predicted her landslide win.
So to cite some talking head without providing a cogent argument is lamer than Trump's social skills.

Like the people I know who lost their health care?
Some "experts".
Nonetheless, cost reductions were trumpeted by Democrats.

I think this time is different and giving up on 2018 is a total mistake.
Statistically, the "mid-term" elections just don't bode well for Democrats. Which for 2018 is fine and dandy, especially if it helps to build over confidence (something that killed Hillary) in the Right. It's 2020 they need to save their money and effort for to retake Congress and redistrict. And if Democrats are smart, they won't focus as much on the President because there is more power to be had from redistricting (except I hear some states have wisened up and did away with it).
Another scenario I see is that we do get 6 years of a Democratic Congress with 8 years of Trump.

The libertarian international will expel you for stating that government subsidies are worth considering. Are you sure you're not a crypto neo-left libertarian?
You're not the first to wonder that about him. Sure, he quotes CATO, but I can quote several Libertarian authors that would roll their eyes at him and dismiss him as Libertarian in name only.

^ there's your proof that the hacks of the election changed votes.
I think I figured out why that looked so strange to me: "ignored content" not showing up at all tends to do that. If I have someone on ignore, there is a specific reason, and my life is made so much simpler. But, alas, sometimes a thread does look rather quiet funky with people carrying on imaginary debates and arguments. :p

You can tell that they were in the illegal drug business. The only reason why they kept it in the Black market for years, that it is because if it were illegal, then the South American will have control over the cocaine. Cocaine can only grow in that part of the world. They did not wanted the South Americans have all of that money. And they reason how they made it to become illegal, that they said that cocaine causes Black men to rape white women. And so they put a banned on it. Because they were afraid that all the women vagina will be stretched out of shape after a black man have rape it. But now the only reason why they made marijuana legal for recreational use. It is because they had made a genetic modification version of it that no one cannot sell unless they are licensed to grow it. And so they has control, over that type of marijuana which eventually that they will push its organic counterpart out of the way and then they will have total control of the market. But now they are in the process to legalize cocaine because they has already has it genetic modification version of it as well. They had been knowing that drugs is where the money is at. They only legalized it when they know that they are in total control of it.

Bill wasn't running for president. Did wikileaks(russia) discover anything about Bill?
You had forgotten that President Trump and the Clintons were best of friends at the time. And so the ones that were running against Bill, were Russian's agents as well? Soros throws them out there to fight against each other, and whomever wins, that they get to deal business with him. But President Trump doesn't want to be nobody puppet.

And they had used race as an issue to scare the public of the effects of cocaine. The people weren't races. It was the corrupt government that had put these fears into the public minds making it look as if the public were the ones that had came up with these ideas.
