This is a true statement.

Again, it is the person holding the RPG. The person is broken, the RPG is a tool.

:ignore:BAN ALL GUNS:ignore:

:run:Go on an run from the PROBLEM.

PS- I don't remember an RPG being used in any tragedy. So lets ban them... and hand guns... and hunting rifles... and citizens who obey the law from owning them.... Yup, problem solved. I can sure sleep better now.
I don't remember any legislation being proposed that bans all guns.

Read Obama's task force's proposal. (I hear this has been stopped) Yet, if it went through:

Pretty much all guns but a .22 rifle with no scope that only holds 9 rounds is allowed for citizens to have.... but that is at the discretion of the Federal Government, then the state Attorney General, and finally the local sherrif.

2nd Ammendment!

You heard through you high level sources no doubt.

Been on the news and internet since the last outbreak.

No pistol grips
No weapon the military or police HAVE used
No clip over 10 rounds
No....

  • Again, guns aren't the issue. Our SOCIETY is.

And it's a smart idea to make it easy to put guns into everyone's hands in a problemed society?

Not saying it is. Yet, is taking away responsible citizen's rights the way to go? Look at Stony Brook. The kid who did it couldn't legally buy those guns or bullets or clips. Obviously the laws are working....

Source please.

a few moments please... I will find the Obama Task Force Reccomendations for you. (I have another more important thread to attend to as well, as it deals with my family.) I will get to it accordingly.

Appreciate it, when I did a quick google search it brought up some nutty sources. Hopefully you have one that is better.

Report: Obama gun ban list leaked - Virginia Beach Conservative | Examiner.com

Proposed gun bans here. I will have to look to find the other articles about banning passing down, et al. Hope this helps for now.

Yet, what is the difference in banning XYZ and ALL? It is the first step. Perhaps more people need to live outside the east coast and big cities to appreciate what we have.... perhaps so. Why punish us all?

so it means that claiming it is not a hunting rifle is just plain not true.

This is why I said in a prior post that those that have them will be grandfathered in....

Anyone after will have to use something else.....I'm sure they'll survive.

It is just that plain and simple. And considering I'm a hunter....an AR15 is not the "ideal" weapon for big game hunting but can be used. But it's not something normally used. I have heard of those that like them and similar rifles for bore hunting and fox. Others prefer a shotgun for bore.

Silly comparison.
An AR-15 is a fine weapon for harvesting small game, particularly at a distance.

But one doesn't "need" an AR15 for small game even. There a lot of alternatives on the market...even down to high powered Air Soft weaponry for small game.....

Please don't lump us all in one group on this issue. I DO NOT support retroactively removing guns. I personally believe if you have it before a ban then you keep them. As far as republican....I'm not sure you will see much from them on this subject. I don't think it's a good look for them politically. They're good for lip service and condolences after the fact but shut up pretty quickly not long after.

I agree that there needs to be some rules and laws. Yet, our gun laws have not prevented this. Again, the Stony Brook shooter couldn't purchase those weapons or bullets or clips... The Brady Bill, wow that stopped criminals from having guns! Seriously? Taking MORE FREEDOMS AND RIGHTS (Constitution) away from law abiding citizens is not the answer.
