That might be a motive, but I suspect not because it doesn't seem to have that quite that effect.
Populations still go out to public venues.
But the 9/11 attacks did wreck our economy, with government over-reaction exacerbating the problem.

Just another terrorist strategy. Figure multiple perpetrators that are organized seems even scarier than a single given account. Mostly just taking the mass shooting playbook and integrating it. See Mumbai.

I agree, we should know why. But binladen said it didn't he..... the west's foreign policies. We abuse them and their land too much. Do we ever reach out to them or is it just bomb them. We call them terrorists when really it is a war. It is all politics at the end of the day, and WE vote them in.
