Well, he described Thomas Paine as "a filthy little atheist." Not one of his better moments.
How unfair. Thomas Paine was an awesome little atheist.

when Americans argue with each other about fundimental issues, it is no wonder foreigners are glad they live elsewhere.
As long as they KEEP AUSTIN STRANGE!
I wanna move to Austin, TX.
(though it's probaly just a pipe dream...)
Austin is SO MUCH FUN! You would fit in great.
The scary thing is, I also fit in great.
Austin has something for everyone.
In fact, Texas is an amazing state. I love it here now, though it took me about two years not to actually intensely HATE living in Texas. I love the diversity, the richness of culture (Hispanic, black, German, French, Czech, "cowboy," oilfield, etc.)
White people are the minority here, and that's an interesting experience in itself, for a white girl.
The food is great, some of the best in the world.
Arts/music scene - incredibly diverse and exciting!
The general attitude of the people, regardless of race or creed, is independent and strong.
The energy in Texas is palpable.
I love New Jersey. You're really lucky.
I HATE it here in NJ.
