The Perfect Moral Decision

I'm curious as to what about your beliefs appear to you to be mind-opening? Some might consider it close-minded. As I see it, you have a universal understanding of moral and spiritual reality. This is normal by modern standards. I don't share that point of view and am often annoyed by it... but that's my burden to bear. :) But, insofar as you have a universal understanding of moral and spiritual reality, you will be naturally hostile to pluralist understandings of religious realities. Agreement is not possible. It would be pointless for me to ask you to open up your eyes, as we are looking at things quite differently.

There are steps that one could follow to open their minds but I did not intend to direct anyone into my belief. They would have to live my life for that to happen.

I would love to direct them into activating their conscience and having absolute proof of God's existence but what works for me may not work for others.

Agreement is not possible? Not true, everything evolves. Science. Religion. Sometimes it just takes a lot longer than it should.

Eventually we will all come to a combined understanding of God and how His universe works. At that point science and religion are the same thing.

Hiya Super Universe, yep it's that pesky mouse again. Super Universe, what do you say to someone who did this decades ago? Someone who has never looked back or has never really regretted the choices made? Granted, I did not address a "guardian angel" as I have no use for such concepts. I am very big on the reality of the "inner self", our somewhat "hidden" nature, however.

If you did this decades ago then I would say two things, three actually:
1) Good for you. How are you doing with it? How does it affect you when you realize that you made a mistake that hurt someone?
2) Are you sure you said it with full intent? "I choose to do no harm. I choose to follow my conscience" and that all decisions would be in the best interest of yourself, humanity, the earth, and the universe? Think about this sentence for a moment.
3) Do you have visions?

Consciousness is simply being awake. Awakened from sleep, awakened from the animal state. Conscience is our soul which is our God fragment inside us. It is our connection to God. It is very faint but it does try to guide us. It can be suppressed or it can be activated depending on whether you wish it to guide you or if you wish it to just shutup.

I will start a topic on the soul.

It could be the most wise thing ever but if it's confusing it simply falls to the ground and people walk over it, none knows how to pick it up.

I don't think you understand. Agreement is not possible between people who believe like you do and people who believe as I do. I will never agree with your particular brand of religion. It will never happen.

But you are quite right - we haven't lived each other's lives and cannot expect to come to the same conclusions. I am quite happy with the results.

Thanks. I am good with my decisions, very good, in fact. Oddly, I do not often hurt others because of a mistake. My actions are usually quite deliberate.

No, not exactly those words, but definitely the intent. It was a rather pivitol period of my life. To me, from my perspective, the ego, surrendered to the reality of its larger identity. That larger identity has been growing ever since. You outta get a load of how I see "god".

Even though it is rare that you hurt someone with your actions when it does happen and you realize it what do you feel?

It could be a snap reply to your wife that makes her angry, a finger at another car on the freeway, or an unintentional remark to a co-worker.

The ego surrendered to the reality of it's larger identity? Sounds like you got it right to me.
