Person A slyly and subtly insults person B and then is shocked - absolutely shocked and dismayed - by person B's negative reaction to it.

I believe I only told the truth but as the Goblin King in the movie Labrynth says: "The truth hurts."

Why do you think Romney lost? Maybe its because he wasn't good as entertainer as the other guy. The better entertainer wins, right?

I believe he received bad advice to downplay his knowledge of foreign affairs.
