Hopefully today I won't get the urge to play kick the baby. I think I'm going to cut this brat down to once a week because there is only so much I can do and it's going to fall heavily and primarily on his parents anyways.

Wow I wish I had heard that several years ago. We gave up keeping the squirrels out and stopped feeding the birds.

Squirrels are impossible to get rid of. We always come back, and if it's not us, it's a cousin or other relative...
That said, I've found that safflower seeds at about 20-30 percent of what you put out reduces interest. Don't put out corn (and avoid the mixes that include corn whole or ground up), or if you do, put it out a short distance away, especially on a bungee-cord feeder or the one that has three blades and spins around. That entertains us and will draw our interest.
A BB or pellet gun also works, but all you're really doing is injuring us in such a way that we go elsewhere to die...and shortly enough, others will move in to replace us.
