I have been informed by the youngest that the oldest has cut his hair and it is back to its natural color.... so no more purple or white and black, or red, or blue or green or orange...and most importantly...no more man bun.... Apparently he must have figured out that all those Engineering conferences he has been going to for networking and to meet professors in the Master programs he is interested in...that no one had hair like his......I will find out for sure on Wednesday when I pick him up at the train station

I'm going to bed which is far from a crime against nature. It is, instead, what nature intended.

The air is still unhealthy but the map is improving around us so I'm hopeful today marks the change to breathable air.

As the Counting Crows sang, this used to be paradise but:

They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got til its gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
They took all the trees
And put 'em in a tree museum
And they charged the people
A dollar and a half to seem 'em

You mean as Joni Mitchell sang way back in the ‘70s like the great Canadian lass she is. Counting Crows just made it suck.

When I lived in Californiastan, I lived in Brentwood (W LA).
It was high density housing, with low density of burnables.
This is far safer & more efficient than building all those flammable
single family houses in tree infested canyons & forests. Let's
leave more land natural, & pack people into multifamily buildings.
For their own good, they should obey me!

Enjoy your new Efficieny Apartment, Comrade!

Lately it takes between 10 and 120 seconds for facebook to load into firefox. What is going on with that? Is it the advertising bidding process? Is Facebook dying? Whats happening.

A while ago I bought a leak detector to sit on the floor next to the water heater. Today it went off very loudly. And there's water on the floor from the water heater. Hopefully the plumber will get here before it lets lose entirely. But the one we want to use is, of course, backed up and might get here tomorrow morning.

A word to the wise, The last time we had the water heater in the hall and when it let loose, replacing it was only a small part of the remodeling job we had to do because of water damage.

Now it's in the laundry room and might flood that room and the garage which is a lot better and a lot cheaper.

But still, catching the problem early might mean saving thousands of dollars.

There are a lot of them out there, but we have "The Watchdog" Model BWD-HWA" $12.00 is VERY cheap.

Dang.
All this time I thought you were a dude pretending to be a dog.

I would never expect my dog to put a patch on the water heater, because she's a girl. Dudes do that stuff.
