My glasses broke today, as I was wiping the smudges and smears off the lenses. Given my vision is so blurry if it's not right in front of my face I am SHOCKED that neither Indiana or California requires me to wear them to drive. Having to "intellectualize sight" to fill in the gaps like I do with empathy doesn't leave me feeling confident enough to drive without.
