It's more the idea that private insurance will weasel their way out of paying for needed treatments and care. It's happened to me, it's happened to some of my clients.

Companies who don't deliver as per agreement would find their business shrivel.
Consumers would either use the single payer system, or find a better insurer.
But insurance isn't the only Plan B...there's also concierge health care & even
ordinary fee for service.

The only people who'd use private care would be those who find the single
payer offerings lacking, eg, unacceptable scheduling delays, procedures
refused. Let's say I want horn implants or booty enhancement. Government
would never cover such things. But I should be able to buy them privately.

Too bad we don't have a button to press that would instantly reset and undefine all our words. It would suck for awhile, but at least we might have some clarity when we say something and less confusion because we've hacked and chopped and stitched back together so many different things that even opposing economic viewpoints can get lumped together as if to appear there is congruence between them.

There was a fun SF story about what happened when a gadget was developed that shorted all words about a topic from the brain. It's had to fight a war when "fight", "war", "attack" and such are gone. The next step when a universal language was developed for war was to short out everything about politics.

Words are important. Etymology matters. You can apply the term socialism to Italy because socialis is a Latin word, adjective of the 3rd declension.

You cannot use socialism as word to describe poliitical system like China.

I really don't get people. My friend, I pointed out my brother spews tons of hate but even he provided some insights to transgender people that had never occurred to me. And my friend tells me she's ok with my brother and she can take the bad with the good because she knows him. But, my other friend, it's apparently somehow fundamentally different with him, apparently because she doesn't know him except through what he posts on Facebook.

You'll get everything you need (as determined by government) when single payer arrives.
