I wonder if listing your likes on a dating site as cuddling, knives, snuggles, eviscerations, moonlight walks through a beach or forest, bones and gore is a good thing or not? Do guys like those things? I don't know why I'm asking here though. A bear, a dog, a squirrel, a chick seeking a cock, a clunking robot, a grounds keeper....this wolf feels like she's asking Noah's ark instead of humans who would know.

I'm taking a break from dating and dating sites, myself. I'm too in love with myself to share that affection with others.

I hevent started anything towards dating yet, and though things are going actually well for me, it has been very turbelent over the past few months and the past year a half overall, and I need some stability and settled into something before I make any changes that require me to open up in ways to someone that just the idea feels me with dread. Not necessarily all transition related, and actually it's probably mostly because even those close to me and whom I called friend have hurt me. I pretty much expect and assume it will happen by default.

A good example: someone mentioned something about an LGBT prom at a trans group meeting. But, anyways, never having went to prom or any school dances I basically day dreamed about what never was. It was a wonderful thing at first, until the guy who asked me to dance with him for a face, then I became worried it would end like Carrie.

I pretty much take myself getting hurt when it comes to human connections as a given. At times, even RF has been a challenge. And from people I don't know that well. So imagine the challenge of forming a life long relationship with someone.
Plus I don't expect people to understand me any better now that I'm regaining my ability to think clearly because I often used such brain power for say, mathematics as it applies to 3-dimensional spaces, and not on understanding human emotions.

I also still think it's weird the depths my brother and I opened up to eachother. And it's shocking, amazing, and sad how much we are alike due to the depths of our pains. We've always known the other was hurting, but we didn't know how bad. But not too surprising, as at one time I did wonder of my family was cursed.

From the canine perspective: moonlight walks are good. Bones and gore are good. Also cuddling is good.
And I can say that male humans like the same things with one exception: bones are not much fun and gore is good on TV/movies but not in real life.
I started off life similarly. Not as extreme as some of whom we would joke "keep in a closed room, feed regularly and expect code to emerge" because their emotional skills were not much in evidence. With age and effort, I've developed more emotional understanding. I can now even tell me wife what she's feeling from a slight grimace she makes AND BE RIGHT.
