Germany and Montana are roughly the same size. However, Germany has 82 million people. Not much room to stretch out, is there?

And the UK is much smaller (241,930 km2) than the Canadian province I'm from (Quebec - 1,365,128 km2) and yet has almost double the population of Canada!

And the funny thing is, I lived in the suburbs in Quebec, while here in the UK, I'm living in the middle of nowhere. :p

I've been to the UK and Germany and it amazes me that with how many people are squished into both countries there's still so much open and beautiful countryside left over.

Okay, just got home from grocery store, must put groceries away, go pick up kids from early dismissal, then give principal hell. Yep...plan of action.

Just got notice in mail that the (what I thought was a minor) incident in school of my son showing the color of his new underwear has been written up as a sexual behavior warning and precursor to possible suspension. What the effin hell? He pulled down the front of his jeans a couple inches to show his "cool" new undies and that's what they deem "sexual behavior" worthy of possible suspension? For a 2nd grader? Time to go remove someone's head from their ***.

And yet when I did it at your wedding you were all up in arms! Make up your mind, woman!

I would call that reaction "seriously demented" for starters. It seems that every few days we hear of another where someone is projecting their own fantasies, disturbed ideation and crazy rules onto innocent kids.

Alright. Spoke with principal. Things went much better for me than perhaps for other cases of strangeness in schools. He said he understood my concern over that being labelled as such and admitted that it could have been labelled in a better category. He said he was sort of jumping on it a bit as he had already seen quite a few cases of 2nd graders full out exposing themselves at the school and he wasn't understanding where it was coming from and thought my son might be leading up to that and wanted to nip it in the bud. We had quite a conversation about my son and who he is and how he thinks and what actually happened and the principal agreed I was right and said he would change his form and the record on file in the system. We didn't want it on file that my son had any record of "sexual behavior" when it simply wasn't so. He apologized and thanked me for speaking to him about it.

I'm happy that turned out better than first thought but it's still so ridiculous and it's good you pressed the issue. I'd definitely want the words "sexual" taken off my kid's school profile too.

Yeah, I pointed out to him, as he is familiar with my son, that James is quite ADHD and has social filter issues. Now, one, he doesn't even know what sex is, but he is aware of nude privacy, so that shouldn't be an issue. Second, we don't want to have it on record that he has sexual behavior issues when it isn't so as, given his social filter issues (the no filter between brain and mouth thing) he sometimes says or repeats things even when he has no clue what they mean, just because they sound funny. There may well be a chance (as he's done so at home) that he may rattle off something strange at school that may give someone pause and they may think he's making a sexual remark when he really isn't because, truth be told, he doesn't have a clue of the implications of what he is saying. This may end him up in an office again, his record will be looked at, and "well lookie there, he has a history of sexual behavior". The principal agreed that that would not be desirable.

I'd check back with the principle in about a month and have him look to see what was put on your son's record. I often don't trust people's memories that they're going to do what they say they're going to do. We all forget things. I wonder if they'll let you see it?

On my Facebook, I made a post concerning a music video by a gay artist, and stated how music videos like his keep perpetuating LGBT stereotypes (over-sexualization, clubbing, Adonis-like bodies, etc). I didn't exactly use the nicest language concerning the music video and ended up upsetting this one guy; who claimed I sounded just like the guys who beat him up in school.

I may have not thought that status through, but c'mon.
