I'm gay - in the old sense of the word. Today's been a pretty good day so far and I'm in a good mood.
I'll be gay when i get back home and away from thos cold. And back to figuring out where to go next (I don't want a room mate, but Im not sure how else to have a place amd afford transitioning).

I hate to say it, but I started talking to some lesbians recently, and they're the nicest, gentlest people I have met and very welcoming. They won't hit below the belt like straight women.
Then they're different from the lesbians I know.

Back when I was trying to get a local "Gay/Straight Alliance" off the ground a big problem was the lesbians.

They weren't gay, they were lesbians. And if the name of the group didn't include the word lesbian, they weren't interested.

The fact that a lesbian(and I) were starting, moderating, and doing everything she could to improve Southern Indiana, for gay people, in a group, wasn't enough.

If the word lesbian wasn't in the name of the group they weren't interested in doing anything to help. They would criticize everything. But not help with anything.

Because they're not gay. They're lesbians.

I honestly hate the word 'lesbian'. I say 'gay'. Just a personal thing I guess.

What makes you gay, in your opinion?
I don't see it.

Queer, yes. But not gay.

Can't say I'm surprised. The two lesbians I've known who used the word gay, truthfully, out butch most guys. The sort who have really big dicks without actually have one (and they're prone to telling people to suck their dick). They're still women, but also very definitely one of the guys.
The others Ive known have been lesbians.

I believe that mana from heaven was in reality a hot shower with wonderful smelling shampoos, conditioners and body wash, along with some great smelling lotion. That is my indulgence of truthiness, it's what I believe, I plug my ears to not hear counter arguments and real facts.:D

That's very confusing, even for me.

I can well understand why cis-het folks think that queers do this just to be difficult.

Yup. Anymore it's gotten to wear I can't fault "alphabet people" because if you weren't born in the 90s there's too much different stuff and this and that, some of which, if I understand them correctly, really don't even belong under the queer label (using it in an older catch-all way). I don't want to have to keep relearning new lingo amd jargon all the time because snowflakes have to feel special and feel like they aren't a part of the all-singing, all-dancing compost heap that everyone is a part of. I don't get it, and I don't care because there are tons of other things far more important than splitting hairs and finding a box for everyone to fit in.

The internet makes it possible to report on news events as they happen. It takes a bit longer to figure out the Who, Why, and How...and sometimes, even the What and When.

Just this weekend, we had a 'swatting' incident about a mile from where we live...the initial reports only stated what had been heard over the police scanner, and that traffic was fouled up because it was near an intersection where it is a couple of miles around in any direction to avoid the street closures. that was at about 12:30 pm.

The incident was cleared by 3 pm. by about 9 pm there were online updates at the local newspaper and TV stations, with actual comments from the police with a description of what happened: someone apparently from a particular residence had called 911 to report he had just shot his mother. No one responded when police got there, so they forced entry...only to find there was no one home...but they still had to search the house, contact the owners, search nearby houses, etc.,...there have only been confusing minor updates since then...

long story short: the internet is faster than news collecting and reporting...HOLD THE PRESSES! WE INTERRUPT THIS BROADCAST!

Especially when news outlets will make claims that are demonstrably false.
Like when the internet was set afire by some teenage boys wearing MAGA hats.

Mr. Sandmann had harassed and assaulted a Native American elder who was also a USA war veteran. It was right here on RF.
I became a Trump supporter. Mr Sandmann got death threats. His school was picketed.
What ever happened to critical thinking?

Here's what I think happened. The culture of victimhood and entitlement, that's what. Political correctness now Trumps looking at facts.
