Well, I was going to be a generous guest and pay the electric bill ( and my hosts have solar panels, so it's not like it would be any real burden or really anything more than a token gesture as the thank you gifts I got them cost more). But I will not be doing that it turns out they have an account credit.

Those card chip reader machines at the store are starting to bug me. My card may be a bit old and overused, so I requested a new one. But it still works most of the time, although some retailers have old, crappy card readers. I was at a store today trying to make a purchase, and I couldn't tell if the card was not reading, or if the machine was malfunctioning, or if the clerk was too much of a doofus. I found out later that due to the number of failed attempts at making a transaction, the bank automatically locked my card. Trouble was, I didn't realize this at the time and didn't find out until later. They also said their servers were down, so the whole thing was a complete waste.

I'm going to have to start carrying more cash on me.

My main bank debit card has a difficult time at various stores. At Dollar General I'd say about half the time the chip doesn't work. And then for some inexplicable reason I can only get gas at Arco once a day with it (they say it's the bank, the bank says it's them). And even though I call it primary, it's overall so disadvantageous for me to use compared to my other debit cards I only use it for ATM deposits and withdrawals.

Decided to check my work email one more time.....
I got an email on Monday form someone with a PC issue. I told them the exact days and times I would be there. Guess when they called me........when I was not there...just got an email asking me to call them tomorrow, because they called, and left a message....today....after I had left...after the time I expressly told them I would not be there....so....you know what....tomorrow I am off...so....no calls from me tomorrow........maybe Monday.....oh wait...I'm not there Monday......oh well

Time to stay in and avoid the pollen, ozone, and PM2.5...and I imagine PM10 as well, but there's no station nearby that measures that...and the heat, I need to avoid that, too...

I still have a hard time recognizing it gets as hot as it does here, to the point it's starting to concern me some. My body still knows what heat and humidity is, and without the humidity heat just doesn't pack the punch on its own.

finished cleaning the driveway, used the push mower to trim those areas that Mrs Wu and the oldest Wu just seem to miss....even when I pointed them out...and you know what....my knee hates me
