I still have a hard time recognizing it gets as hot as it does here, to the point it's starting to concern me some. My body still knows what heat and humidity is, and without the humidity heat just doesn't pack the punch on its own.

I was in San Diego when it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit and in Las Vegas at 116 degrees Fahrenheit...both with real low humidity.......would have been worse with Florida humidity....but it was still packing quite a punch....as a matter of fact it was scarier to me.....you were sweating, but never saw it....dehydration would be real easy in heat like that

I have experienced Arizona evenings at over 90 at 10 pm. It was hot but tolerable with the low humidity.

That's another reason it's starting to concern me. It doesn't feel like 100, and the sweat doesn't poor like it does in higher humidity areas. Another reason my body is ill calibrated for summer weather here.

One picture I took of me, it's actually not a bad picture, but I dont like it because it makes me look way younger than I like.

At my age, anything that makes me look way younger is totally cool.
I think only bothers because even at 33 I still sometimes get "are you old enough to drink," or "oh, you're just young still," or the one that happened to me late last year "smart kid."
But it really is a good picture, although "guy mode" as it highlights looking very masculine is a thing of the past.

Thats about 14-15 years between pictures. I also just noticed the line in my hair in that picture where it was died and my hair has grown since (the darker hair is what is visible in my avatar).

My stepson just spent $$$ to buy 35 pounds of thick-sliced bacon, and ANOTHER 20 pounds of chicken breasts for the freezer. He also wants to buy half a hog and half a cow, also for the freezer (our freezers are almost full now...another 500-600 pounds of meat would require another new, dedicated freezer, which we have not the space for...

He's also trying to develop a network with coworkers for a barter economy group so we can support each other then society falls apart in August or September...

He'd like to buy guns, but he has a conviction against him, and in Illinois cannot own firearms. So he's suggested to me several times...

Good times...or maybe it's interesting times...

I grew up around hunters and guns, got nothing against them, for the right reasons. And I could deal with the food hoarding, although I have no idea where we would put it. And if she wanted to learn about guns, or get into shooting, out of interest, I'd be ok too. But out of fear...that is never good...she does not have a clue about the laws of NYS, and I know that by the things she is saying. She has never shot a guns, heck she has never even held a real gun....

Well...I suppose I should look at the bright side....at least I will get another motorcycle out of it......
