Since the pandemic sent me home I have been watching many episodes of the original (Tom Selleck) Magnum PI. I have also seen the new version of Magnum PI, and it is not bad, but I have come to the conclusion that there is only 1 magnum PI and that is Selleck. The other guy is good in the new show, but that is just about some random PI in Hawaii.
But he committed a heinous crime....he tucked his Hawaiian shirts into his pants.
The hems must remain free!

So what, he was Thomas Magnum and drove a borrowed Ferrari, that they had to customize just so he could fit in it, and live for free on an estate he did not own, that has since been torn down, and he was 6'4" tall

As a return to a 5 day work week gets closer and closer,,,,I am more and more convinced I REALLY want to retire....got waaaaaaay to much to do around the house and waaaaaaaay to many things to do beside spend 40 hours a week fixing things people broke because they didn't buy it

Ya know....we still have a big problem in MI with employees
refusing to return to work....even the ones who work outdoors.
Unemployment bennies are so generous that some make
even more by not working. And the state is so behind in
everything that they're not going after abusers of the system.

Oh, to make you feel better, I'm getting a huge tax refund.
My CPA is able to carry backward some carry forward
losses. How's it all work? I dunno.
But I do know how to accept scads of filthy lucre without complaint.

NYS has the same problem, folks making more to stay at home than work. And even when employer offer them the same as they are making to stay home.....they still will not go to work, and why should they, since they get the same money for doing nothing.
There is likely a retirement incentive coming, but I am 2 years short (time wise, not age) to take advantage of it. This means that if it does come and all those in my office that can take advantage of it....take advantage of it.....the IT department I am in will be...well....me.....
