If you are in the mood to read about abominable brides and grooms and divorces that followed: ‘This Ends In Divorce’: 39 Wedding Industry Workers Share The Moment They Saw Red Flags Fly Above The Bride And Groom

Worked wedding receptions, here are some favorites:

Bride started stripping on the table while the groom was outside.

Bride and best man [were found] in a closet.

Bride lost her ring less that 3 hours after being married.

Mother of the groom lit the table on fire because she didnt like the bride or her family.

Groom was passed out drunk less than 30 mins into the reception. He pregamed in the limo. Our bartender refused to serve him when he arrived. Groomsmen loaded him back into the limo to sleep it off and he didnt come back that night.

First thoughts in the Grooms head, right after the minister said, "Until Death do you part" was..."that is a very very long time"

My future wife and I had a classic night before nerves battle royal and I wound up driving around the countryside looking for her in the middle of the night. 51 years later, we're still together although people were giving odds against us for the first few years.

that first marriage lasted 3 years, then I got unreasonable...because I thought marriage meant monogamy and my ex-wife didn't see why it should cut into her dating

That's some dark humor. I feel for you, although never having been married I can't be as sympathetic as perhaps you deserve. I kind of think it might be nice to have marriages, but I don't know anything about it. I'd like to lean up against the water fountain and talk about my wife and stuff. That's cool.

Methinks your expectations were totally unreasonable, did you not realise marriage was one woman and one man, it doesn't matter which man...

Truly did through, you did the right thing by getting rid, playing around like that without agreement makes for a bear with a sore head.

thank you, but no worries, that ended over 25 years ago. I've since remarried and have kids

and I have lots of those kind of statements about my first marriage....

yup, that ended over 25 years ago. After the divorce folks would ask me if I lost weight (I had lost about 10 pounds) but i told them "Yes, I lost 120 pounds...if you include the ex-wife"

Irony is, 2 days before she left, she got furious with me because I was late getting home one evening. I told her I was talking to a friend of mine (female) after class (martial arts class) in the parking lot (nd that is all that was going on). She was accusing me of having an affair......she was also trying like crazy to make out a will a few weeks prior to her leaving......I have always wondered why she was so adamant about me making out a will...and what her plan might have been....she also asked me to pay for her lawyer after she left....i didn't

last time I heard anything about her...she was on husband #5...I was husband #2

This is an example of some of the poor quality journalism I see more of these days: Aircraft lands at Tucson International Airport (kold.com)

It was listed as one of the top stories. Aircraft lands at an airport.

Of course, it was actually about a small passenger plane which apparently had to make an emergency landing with its gear up, but the headline and story were written so poorly.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Today, an aircraft had to land at Tucson International Airport with authorization from airport officials.

According to reports from TIA, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a Bonanza general aviation aircraft landed gear-up on the main commerical runway at the airport.

There was only one pilot onboard the plane, and the subject was uninjured.

Airport authorities say the runway would remain closed until the aircraft is removed.

My high school newspaper could have done a better job than this.

This isn't slanted or "fake news." It's just plain ordinary incompetence, which seems to be more and more prevalent in the news profession.

Really good riddance then.

This time of year and this time of day the sun comes in my window behind my monitor and annoys me. I can close the drapes, use the standing desk feature or stop typing. Or just be annoyed, partly at my sloth, and keep typing.

We had that problem with our office which is at the back of the house, around 3 to 5 pm depending on the time of year the sun shines directly onto our left hand monitor and half of the right monitor. Our solution was 6 pieces of white a4 printer paper and a few blobs of blu tak.

The window is whited out, no direct sunlight but the paper defuses the light go give a pleasant ambience to the office.

Not so good if the offending window/computer is at the front of your house though
