Sometimes, you just have to stop and smell the roses.

Yep, I guess that's the size of it. Well, I guess Kim Kardashian was friends with Paris Hilton. The story of Hilton Hotels is quite a success story, building up from just a small hotel in Texas. It's the kind of rags-to-riches story which is credited to our wonderful capitalist system. But after a couple of generations of opulence, the result is Paris Hilton.
Yup. She's another one. Done nothing to earn or have it. We have people going hungry while people like her get a free ride because someone else did all the work.

Looks like this presidency has shifted the sights my targets are on it will be this time four years of criticizing Conservatives for attempting to armchair diagnose Biden.

As this is the Internet, I feel we need a Mad Max type of thingy over this green and pink.
With me leading the green and @Revoltingest leading the pink.
Even though it's clearly and rightly green, you nutter! @Wu Wei clean your clock good a few too many times?

I never could understand how the Kardashians ever became famous in the first place. They don't really bother me that much. I guess what bothers me more is how the media parades them and others like them around as if to imply "these are famous people" or "these are the things you need to know."

What is it that got into the head of some media mogul which convinced them that I needed to know about the Kardashians? Why would anyone think that's important?

And then the media wonder why people don't trust them and think they're nothing but a big joke.
Well @Revoltingest and @Wu Wei , how did the two of you get hooked on their every move?

Speaking of why CA is so superior, it's life expectancy. I should not be surprised at your unbridled envy and jealousy. Here are the states where you can expect to live the longest and shortest – East Bay Times

These are the Top 10 states:
  • Hawaii
  • California
  • New York
  • Minnesota
  • Connecticut
  • Massachusetts
  • Washington
  • Colorado
  • New Jersey
  • Rhode Island
These are the bottom 10 states:
  • Missouri
  • South Carolina
  • Arkansas
  • Oklahoma
  • Louisiana
  • Tennessee
  • Kentucky
  • Alabama
  • Mississippi
  • West Virginia

I see that Arizona is ranked 25th, right in the middle. So, I guess that means I'm an ordinary, average guy.

You clearly follow their every action.
Isn't it ironic how the two people who don't live here know more about these enigmas than the two who do live here. We're supposed to be plagued by them, but those outside of this state seem to be cursed with them.
Afterall, the bulk majority of what I know of them comes from South Park. Not from living here, that's for sure.

As Indiana is not on the worst 10, remind me to never stay in those 10 states for longer than absolutely necessary.
Indiana has tons of smokers, lots of obesity, lots of diabetes (or maybe it was heart disease, one of the two), and meat and carb rich diets. Indiana has Luther burgers and deep fried butter, cola, and candy bars. And tons of bars. What effort did those 10 states put in to become less healthier than Indiana?
And of course California is a healthy state. Year-round exercise weather, fresh fruits and veggies everywhere, farmers markets, people seem more health-conscious here, and I have yet to be poked, prodded, and scrutinized by anyone when I forgo meat for a meal or day. And because I haven't had any meat for a few days, surely in Indiana (and I assume by default those other 10) they would just assume I've went full vegetarian by now.

I think I'm to the point I would like one more awesome Pearl Jam album before they or I die. Not just a few good songs, but an entire album as good as Ten.

I just realized I can say it now:
Tomorrow I'm getting my first covid jab!
(Why don't we use "jab" over here? It's so much easier than saying vaccine)

Good luck. The first jab wasn't too bad, some mild soreness and dizziness, if that. The second jab knocked down a lot of people where I work. Dizziness, fever, aches, fatigue were among the symptoms. It lasted about a day for me, while others were out for a couple of days.

I think we're allowed to say "jab" if we want.

I am devastated, totally devastated i tell you, distraught, i have reached my limit. My chainsaw has broken, no, not the chain that i can easily replace but the switch. It won't turn on, the switch just flops about. Oh woe is me, what am i to do with a floppy switch???
