I call that, and raise Edward Norton and Lemmy. He's dead now, but having lived here, the power of Lemmy protects many of us from that taint upon humanity. And what he doesn't shield us from, Jonathan Davis screams out some stuff we can't understand the negates any lingering influence, and Clint Eastwood stares it down until it's dead (and tells it to get off his lawn).

But Lemmy lived here, in a small apartment near the Rainbow.
And Norton is in a lot of good movies, like Leaves of Grass, American History X, Red Dragon and Fight Club. Good thinking movies.

True, but the point is, those who keep a lower profile are less likely to get government attention and therefore less likely to face the "oppression" you speak of.

Profiles....a high one can work for or against one.
But I prefer a low one....introverted, ya know.

My "state taxes" are basically sales tax, gas tax, excise tax, and the taxes for cannabis. Income tax wise, I gave the state a dollar the first year I was here and I got a refund last year.
