That's what @savagewind asked. My question is 'why is it'?
Why is it magic? It is because sometimes, it is too coincidental.

I have another one.

The Pillow.

Saturday, I am on my way to my own yard sale with friends. (it went very well, thank you) Along the way, there was an early yardsale. Stop? No! Stop? Yes! I went to it. (I was a little late to my own yard sale). I bought several things there that were on my "need someday" list...an electric drill, an enormous steel bowl, a mortar and pestle...nevermind) I didn't need the pillow, but I know that a new one cost fifty dollars (I know!) but I love My Pillow so I bought another one (turns out to cost about a dollar) They are washable! See, how long a little story can be? I spoil my son. I do his cleaning for him. The real reason for it is that I think that he wouldn't. So I do it. The pillow happened last Saturday (June 12, 2012). About a week ago, he went to his friend's house to sleep over there. I am putting the clean sheets on his bed and I say, "where's your My Pillow?", and he says, "I left it there, is there another pillow?" Oh, we have plenty of pillows here, but they are not all My Pillow. He has pillows, but not a My Pillow. But, I do! Is that not magic?

Its frustrating to live in a time when there is so much promise in the future of medical technology. I want it now. I want my titanium-rubber spine and ultra-muscles installed, so I can swing through the trees and run up mountains. But. Those aren't invented, yet. Instead I must live like some thin boned rabbit or a concentrating sloth.
It so definitely is. I'm ready for Star Wars like prosthetic legs. I have been for years. But we aren't there yet, especially for someone who still has marginally functioning legs and not non-functioning or missing legs.

Today at the weedshop they have new rules. Show the guard your covid card and you don't have to wear your mask anymore. So as I was waiting in line to go to the show room/sales floor (I was the first in line), the next two people in without their masks on, the security guard asks them if they are vaccinated, they are not so they are told to put their mask on. So this guy (it was a couple) looks at me and asks "what about you? are you vaccinated?" "Looks like it." Next one comes in line. Asks the guard why I don't have to wear a mask. Next one, unvaccinated, takes notice of me.
So I am practicing reaching to grab my card in such a way (I had it laminated today) that I can hold it up to their face and say "talk to the hand."
