I hate it how here it was winter one day, spring the next, and for a few, and then it got cold again. Not as cold as it was, but not warm enough for shorts and no jacket like it was a few days ago.
These rapid changes have also made my knee ache.

There is an advantage to this peekaboo spring weather.
Gals dressing for warm weather, but caught off guard by the cold, will switch on their high beams.

The perps who spread around that crap make me long for cruel and unusual punishment to be legal.

Yup and its been a great day too..... multiple questions as to how this user picked these up and why things were not updating..... and by the way...I gave up... it is giving me paths to files that do not exist in this OS as well as files that do not exist in this rev of the OS and it has a re-installer somewhere in startup so.....RE-GHOST time baby.....Monday it gets ghosted.

Dealing with Malware and Trojans..... what a fun day
Switch to Mac or Linux. Your digital life will be so much easier.
Not necessarily easier in the sense of compatibility (except Linux exceeds the compatibility of both in many regards, including x64 bit and earlier compatibility issues, and USB support is an area dominated by Linux), but in that such bad programs will not be so problematic or hazardous once you break from that paper thin Window mentality that has engulged the world into accepting sub-par operating systems that are buggy, glitchy, and in generally very crappy compared to the rest of what is out there

I basically agree with you, Shadow Wolf. But there are Linux and Mac nasties out there. And recently ALL the major browsers were hacked at Pwn2own as well as Adobe Reader and Flash. In addition there are some truly nasty USB hacks as well. So even the best operating systems such as BSD is not proof against malware.

Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, Safari were all hacked at Pwn2Own contest | PCWorld
Of course there is not truly 100% safe, but there is more safe. In which, in that case, Windows pretty much looses every time, all the time, by a general default standard.

Speaking as a PC/Mac support guy who is also IT security and deals with Linux..... they are no safer than PCs. The only reason it appears that way is that they do not have a large presence in enterprise just yet. However Linux is growing there rather rapidly as are the things targeted at Linux, however it is much safer than a Windows box. Mac, well the propaganda the Apple people would like you to belevie is that they are bullet proof and nothing could be further from the truth. Mac exploits are on the rise because Mac use is on the rise in enterprise

And speaking of Mac, I just got my personal Mac back up and running after the Yosemite upgrade took it out. Yeah, It has been down awhile, I am generally not to motivated to work on computer things when I get home

Real security is to have an unknown operating system with tightly controlled physical access only (no internet connection). I use MBOS V8 (aka GSM 3000). Can't surf the web with it though. And support is....lacking. I might be the only user in a 1000 mile radius.

I learned today that my dad's at the hospital, had an aneurysm and is paralysed on the left side. :/ I feel terrible that I'm on the other side of the ocean at a time like this.
