It puzzles me as to how college students are so bad with work schedules to the point a complaint I have about this job is getting screwed on the schedule with people not showing up when they're supposed, or as in the case today, text me last night asking to cover a shift that your not even scheduled for, and for say you swapped shifts but the person you swapped shifts with says the paper work for a shift swap wasn't signed. Working retail and fast food, this has never happened, except for very rarely because people do make mistakes. But in less than a year I've went through four of these shift mishaps.

I'm getting a new PC (will be a mini PC to be precise) and decided to call it "kittyputer". I like to give names to things.

Also, I'm hoping that everything will go smoothly with my mom's passport application, it would be nice for her to be here soon. I really miss her and it will be great for her to see where I live. She's never travelled so hopefully it's a nice gift for her,

When your truck battery is good, you turn on the starter, & hear the solenoid click, but there's no spinny twirly vroom vroom noise, your starter motor is bad.
(I hope my technical jargon wasn't too arcane for the girlies here.)

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
I am not in anyone's blacklist. But I may be on at least two greenlists and a single yellowlist.

The yellowlist is the scary one.

I name stuff for what it is followed by thingy. Memory cards are 'memory thingy,' it's a 'router thingy," and I have a 'music thingy.'

If I had time to work on my writing/editing portfolio, and knew more about putting together a portfolio of that style, I found a job in Vancouver I could have applied for.
This semester has been brutal with the reading, I get to the point I don't have to read nearly as much, and know I have all the papers to do that I didn't have much time for to do. I have the conclusion of one paper to finish today, tomorrow I have to plow through I paper that I set up today, finish two short stories by Tuesday, and then I have two research papers to start and writing 15 pages worth of another short story I'll be done. I also will have to juggle around one more test to study for, one more story for my journalism course along with 8 more homework assignments, and other homework assignments that are tossed in.
And then I'm working on my portfolio and I am getting out of here. I've decided I'm going to try and go on without grad school, and try and start on a career that I want to be on, as well as having more time for my own projects, but if I don't get out that way then I'm going to have grad school lined up to get me out of here, which I'm most likely going to end up going to anyways. But being able to get out of here without having to pay for more school would be great.

I was at a very nice party/potluck today.
I like cooking for those. It's a great time to make something usual unusual, such as tie-dye rice crispys treats or mint-chocolate swirl cake, or even a kitty litter cake, served in litter box and with a litter scoop.
Or even just the cheap and easy stuff to make that only takes minimal effort to make, but because people don't cook these much these days, they'll think your nothing is absolutely fantastic.
To me, it's an art, so not only do I enjoy doing it, because it is an art, it strokes my ego. Just like having a picture I drew being displayed at the library the past two weeks has.

You don't have a picture of the kitty litter cake by any chance. I'm curious what it looked like.
