This is a really good channel for learning useful
tips for driving safety....both for car & truck drivers.

One very important thing to be learned is to leave
more time between you & the vehicle ahead.
I'd say a minimum of 3 seconds for a car, & 5 to 7
seconds for a truck (depending upon load).
This would avoid many many accidents.
I'm hyper vigilant about this on the road.
It's worked so far (fingers crossed).

Also, when you see trouble looming...just
slow down before you're forced to brake.

We have Indy drivers on our freeway who think that 3 seconds is for wimps and losers. I sometimes see them being scraped off the road but I do try to maintain a safe distance when I think of it.
I hate it when someone is weaving in and out and leaving only inches between cars. Or they pass on blind curves.

I was taught two seconds in drivers ed. Three is better.
I fixed that by the way. Numbers under 10 are written out. 10 and above then you may be lazy and use the Arabic numerals.

Hmmm...I don't know about that thing. I tried testing it with a well-known quote, and this is what came out:

Four score and seven years ago, this continent a new nation our fathers brought forth upon, created equal, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are.

You used to many words...or Yoda just likes Lincoln

I remember learning about the two-second rule even before driver's ed, from the Shell Answer Man on TV. But I've heard that it's been updated to three seconds since then.

I wonder if they found the driver of whatever it was that flew off and blocked the lane. It looked like a truck door or something.

All kinds of road hazards out there. The other day, a coyote darted out across the street in front of me. I was going pretty slow, so I was able to stop and avoid hitting him, but it did startle me.

Nothing bad. Trust me. It's all good.

I've driven among the dangerous fools on the 405 in LA.
It's not possible to leave a space in front. Someone will fill it.
