But with it being British, you know that was done in the most polite, dignified, sensible way possible to convey "I am a proud Englishman, dammit!"

No, but I keep telling them they should let me in to escape the Covid madness in America. I know enough of their slang, I know how they spell colour, that their poor cars have bonnets, I love Dr. Who, and I know when it's proper to use the term Union Jack.Areth you a British resident aseth now, @Shadow Wolf?

Common, you know he radioed in to inform his higher ups he lost control and needed permission to crash, and get a pep talk to remind him that though he messed up he's British and will carry on like it through the entire ordeal. Not any more he's not

It denotes a Brit was inebriated while trying to hoist the flag , it does. You do??? Not a lot of people know that.... I think most brits brits don't know
Do you know when its its upside down and what flying it upside down denotes?
This means Brits aren't paying attention to Dr. Who, because that's where I learned most of that. I didn't even know the UK flag could be upside down until Rose corrected some pinhead of a British patriot. You do??? Not a lot of people know that.... I think most brits brits don't know

As for upside down, it can be a signal of distress, much like in America. It can also be an insult to the Crown, much like in America except we have Uncle Sam instead of a Crown.
Huh? I thought the premise was David Teninch playing the Doctor, a character who has no shortage of ways to impress the ladies and no shortage of ladies swooning over him.The Dr.Who premise is a great subject to wish for. I'd use it to save a great deal of travel time and it solves the problem of indoor floor space. @ChristineM and @Shadow Wolf
Be back after I check out this wonder of the world actor.Huh? I thought the premise was David Teninch playing the Doctor, a character who has no shortage of ways to impress the ladies and no shortage of ladies swooning over him.
