I saw it, and for a while in the 80s there were quite a few people who were really into it, almost like a cult classic for its time. But I don't know, it doesn't seem like it had the same staying power or much appeal with the younger audiences nowadays. I could be wrong, though.
Kids these days...they don't appreciate the classics.

Consider yourself lucky
At times I do feel lucky when people list off movies and I haven't seen them.
But I also get excited during the rare occasion movies are being listed and I have seen them but someone else hasn't.

As we see, the bear has a poor sense of humor.
Perhaps he can only appreciate Rodney Dangerfield
jokes...not a movie like Buckaroo Banzai. Too campy,
subtle, & sophisticated for the likes of a pickanick
basket thief.

Poor Rodney. He created Hell, reigned over it for 10,000 years, and even in Hell he gets no respect.

I'm still wondering what Rob Schneider does other than yell "you can do it" and make the occasional crappy movie that he can do a touring show.
