I'm not sure there are any more Jewel-Osco's left anywhere in Central Illannoying any more...used to be common...
We have Safeway-Albertsons here, along with a Kroger-owned chain called Fry's. And Walmart. I heard something a while back about a proposed merger between Safeway-Albertsons and Kroger, which would reduce competition even more.
Small parking lots at Safeway........but that's just a real bad spot to pick...
They have this part of Jersey's grocery store chain correct......I think Kroger bought out the Acme grocery chain here.

There was a Cub in Indiana. I've never seen one since.
And Kroger I don't like.
I'm surprised to not see Winn-Dixie in the South.
Anybody heard about Kennedy's new We The People party?
I know. They should call it 'Target' instead.I never could understand why they called it "Safeway" anyway. It doesn't seem that safe.

I am happy to hear Ministry following his lomg standing tradition of anti-Republican songs. He was writing songs against both Bushes amd their cohorts ("Ask me why you're feeling screwed and I'll give you the answer: There's a Colon, Dick and Bush hammerin' away" is still one of my favorite lines) and the new album is anti-Trump amd MAGA.
Listening to Catching the Sun by Spyro Gira for the first time. Not bad.
I used to shop at one when I'd visit Wheaton.
I go to Safeway for distilled water, yogurt sometimes and a few other things. Whole Foods these days for mangoes in season. Trader Joes for this and that. The local health food store for pills, hand soap, shampoo and the like. And the farmer's market for in season goodies.

Anybody here played Portal 2 ?
There is a free mod for it called Portal 2 Revolution that adds a lot of extra puzzles. They are decent, so far. I'm about 6 puzzles in.
