I've been to many a party concert that turned into one of those if it rained. It also how we had real mud wrestling matches.I've come to the conclusion that we're lacking something critical in all our lives - a mudfest. Why spend so much time with online and work mud when we can enjoy real, honest mud. Behind a paywall so
A muddy mess? That’s not a problem at Maryland’s MudFest

Don't know if it will help while he sleeps since it will apparently have to be turned off, but I've found leaving a fan running throughout the day in my room helps abit. I suspect because it helps to to circulate the air so it doesn't get warm and stale.Got a big problem...
The room Ares sleeps in is becoming too hot to sleep in some nights. That will only get worse... Fans wake him up; that didn't work. If he sleeps in his own room, he doesn't sleep well. Him getting a good night's sleep is vital.
How do I make that furnace of a room sleepable.... (windows don't open)

I've been thinking of how to make some "usable and cheap enough" device to cool a bedroom at night. I probably have it figured out, but by usable and cheap enough I mean a styrofoam cooler with dry ice and copper tubes (with fans at one end to draw air through the tubes and blow it out) inside with some exhaust tubes leading to a foam board that's got a decent temporary seal around it anf the window. You can buy fit it yourself AC units for around a $1000 +/- a few dollars from Amazon.
I think part of the problem is the door has to stay shut... antique furniture in there that kitties would just love to shred...Leave the door open during the day, have a fan running during the day aimed at the door to blow heat out.
It may help.

Read what I added to it after I hit the post button before I was ready.I'd like to see something like that...
However, I also feel this is a project where I learn there's actually a lot to it. Like two things I made that also involved making wheels. Turns out theres more to wheels than just sticking them on something you want to move.
probably too complex for me...Read what I added to it after I hit the post button before I was ready.
My idea, nah. I suspect it's been tried before, and not caught on due to it being horribly inefficient. But the stuff I need is cheap enough to try one of these days (I just need to decide on what I want to use for copper tubes and a fan, and haven't actually looked into it yet).probably too complex for me...

I think anything with four(or three) figures is well out of our price range.
i'll give it a whirl. Ice is easy to come by.Ok hows this. 4 or 5 empty pop bottles. Fill with water and freeze. An couple of hours before bedtime stand the bottles in Ares room with a fan blowing on them.
Instant air conditioning. Should cool the room by 2 or 3 degrees.
