It's Valentine's Day! Happy Day to those who celebrate it in any way! :)My wife bought me a new belt (old one is getting OLD, but is the longest-lasting one I've ever owned...very well made, and really still in pretty good shape), and I bought her a small box of chocolates;). Really, it was just a coincidence that it was around Valentine's Day for both, because we really don't celebrate the day. We were out of chocolate (we keep a constant if small supply because chocolate is one of the proofs that the gods love us and want us to be happy:D), and by happy coincidence the Russel Stover heart-shaped sampler was on sale!:p

According to the Weather Channel widget on my computer...

We are at 18°F right now, feels like 5, and "light" snow (doesn't look real "light" at this moment in time to me, but hey, what do I know, I'm only in it) and it is supposed to continue snowing for several hours into late afternoon/early evening (it's not even 10am here now).

It's been snowing since last evening and the street plows make regular passes since late last night. We seem to get a respite from the snow for Monday (not that one can get anything done that day anyway as it's Presidents' day) and then we start again Tuesday morning.

Yay.

Sometimes I get an itch to look up my 2 ex-husbands, just to see what they are up to. My second one is easy enough to find out about as he lives in the same town, we know several of the same people, and he has a FB page. Pretty much nothing with him and we keep our distance, so no issues. But my first husband??? I haven't a clue. I just now found out about 3 different aliases he has. Names I'm wondering where the heck he came up with them from. Last I can tell he seems to be in Oregon. Fine by me. As long as he stays as far from Iowa as possible. But the aliases? I mean, I knew he was psycho and dangerous, but damn, if he has to change his identity/name that much and that many times...makes me even more glad I got away from him.

I have a sinus infection, and later today I'm supposed to be getting my friend's brother out here so hopefully he can figure out what's wrong with my car.

So I find myself scooping YouTube and see a teaser trailer for the new Ghostbusters came out yesterday (timed that well given the end of the world was predicted to be Feb 14th of 2016 in Ghostbusters 2 ;) ). Never read comments in YouTube. Just don't. People there don't seem to be able to say anything that isn't garbage. This was a teaser saying that the real trailer was going to hit in March. There wasn't anything really in it. yet, everyone there was talking about how bad it was going to be. That it was just horrible and it was a huge mistake to make. So on and so forth, it sucks it sucks it sucks. I have to wonder why people do this crap. It hasn't even come out yet. The actual movie trailer hasn't been released yet, yet all these, what...psychics?...are so certain it is going to be so very bad that they can't shut up about it. Happens with lots of movies. People judge them to be horrible before anything is known about them other than possible casting.

I have to wonder how much of that is misogyny based on the stars of the movie.

I cannot believe you didn't start with the onion pancakes!
Mrs Revolt makes the best ones.
But I admit some prejudice here.

Not anymore, stopped a few days ago.... they were causing digestion problems... I felt painfully full for hours..even after only a vegetables...... it appears that the issue was not to much acid but to little. Since Friday, if I have had an reflux issues I have been taking a table spoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. It hits me like taking a shot of whiskey, but the acid reflux stops almost immediately

The onion pancake went rather well.... and so did a piece of yóutiáo.... the sesame ball gave me a bit of an issue, but not much. I ate all the sesame ball 45 minutes after the pancake and youtiao.

Possibly. I'm wondering if the new ones are supposed to be their kids or something. You know, inherited the business from their dads? From what I've heard the originals (minus Ramos of course) all appear in the movie. I'm just wondering why everyone has to poo-poo on something before actually seeing it. It may well be misogyny, but people do this with all kinds of movies before they come out. Any remake, sequel, so on, always gets hammered before released just because some people always think you can never do as well as the original in anything. Sometimes you can. People can like covers of songs sometimes just as much, if not better, than an original, but they won't give movies a chance. :(

Youtiao....it's a punishment disguised as a food-like product.
Add xi fan, & you've got what the UN would call torture.
