Well, I'm about to break the rules of the thread with a not so Random and Meaningless post, at least not to me.
With another snow storm predicted for my area this weekend (3 to 7 inches) I was mumbling and annoyed and then I remembered something.
I use to work on a tree farm in the Mountains of Pennsylvania and occasionally that meant being out in some fairly nasty weather in the winter with lots of snow shoeing. I was out one day during a rather big snowstorm and it was nasty, I was going through the woods on snow shoes when I came out to a rather large clearing and all I could see was snow, everywhere and it was windy too. A lot of falling snow, a lot of blowing snow and as I stood there. all of a sudden I realized I was alone, and it was quiet and all I could hear was the wind going through the trees.... and it was absolutely one of the most amazing and peaceful moments of my life..... so I guess snow ain't so bad after all.

Ok random - I'm staring out the window at a too warm and dry February here in Northern California listening to my wife's TV show as she walks on a treadmill while our old dog wiggles in her sleep and my new tablet is on a truck somewhere. I'm also wondering what I'm going to have for lunch, deciding if I should have another cup of tea and thinking about the coming weekend.

I'm getting better at recognizing notes and figuring songs out. On my guitar I figured out the ocarina song Nocturne of Shadow from OOT. 
What the real impressive thing is, I have those songs so well committed to memory that I didn't even have to listen to the song. I was playing random stuff on my guitar when I went "oohhh!! those of are the first two notes in Nocturne of Shadow.!"

For laser hair removal, it turns out my beard is right in the middle of light/dark hair, and they know it work on everything but it will definitely reduce some of the hair and thickness. But I do get a free session out of it being such a grey area. However, I'll still need electrolysis, although not as much of it.
That sounds like mostly good news to me.

It's too early to really decide. The very reason I get the freebie session is because even the staff does not know exactly how effective it will be. But, even with one free session and one or two paid, it should at least reduce a good part of the hair for electrolysis.
But being in that place, it was repulsive and I felt disgusted by the messages being broadcast. It's ok to feel depressed over hair, society is going to shun you for it; Pay us and we'll make you feel better and give you a better social life. Today, I saw the face of an advertising monster that preys upon insecurities to market low self-esteem to sell vanity in a den of avarice and debauchery. And because some have needs, they make money off that too, which sucks.
That really is the message from so many places today. You're not ok as you are but give us money and everyone will love you.

It is. But today, rather than reading about it and just knowing about it as I have for many years, today I actually experienced it. I saw it. It was worse than being in a shopping mall crammed full frivolous and excessive abundances of useless and needless junk and people buying it all up, damning us all in the process.
