This is the week I start my new job, a lame job that requires me to be on call 24/7 for a lousy $8.50 an hour, with a "boss" who is either bragging about his truck and boat, talking about his relationship problems (which are apparent by the way he talks about women), tells super creepazoid/dirt bag/scum stories like saying he got a friend passed out drunk to have sex with his wife, or straight up lies like saying he drank 150 Jagerbombs at a bar and still drove his truck home. If it wasn't for my mantra of "finally getting out of the conservative/rural **** hole that is Indiana" I don't think I'd be able to do it.
And I found out one of my cousin's husbands works there - this being a cousin who has a police record going back to her childhood and well into adulthood, and her husband being a perfect fit for the family because he's one of them on the chopping block for constantly turning down work.

Finding some money that you can use to buy guitar strings on a day the music stores are closed doesn't totally suck when you need new guitar strings, it just kinda sucks because you have to wait till tomorrow.

Being laid up in bed this weekend has me watching a lot of Law & Order: SVU. Thanks so much USA for running a marathon of an already addictive show. Love the show, but it does leave you with a bitter taste for humanity every once and a while.

As for me, pondering the meaning of life. It's not going so well.
One of my honors classes was about the "good life," and it turned out I was the only existentialist in the class, and everyone but me thought a life with no inherent meaning except for what you make of it is depressing. It's worked pretty well for me.

I watched all of Mel Brook's movies when I was laid up. But, with SVU, I love the show says all the stories are works of fiction and don't resemble people or events in real life, but you totally know that a bunch of them do. I even remember when USA ran an SVU marathon of episodes that are based on real events and people.
I'm so ****ing drunk. I don't even know hoe wo I got here. i had os muc guindees. NAd wine.
I wish I could be. But Indiana doesn't think adults should be able to buy alcohol on Sunday, which really sucks when I decide I'm going to make something for dinner that requires an alcoholic beverage, and then I can't because this state sucks. But, I don't have the money for it now anyways.

It happened again. I worked seriously late yesterday (until 3am this time) and continued the work online when I got home.

Lucky me it was not until 9am this time

This is stoopid.

One of my old teachers (the one who asked me my opinion of a few documentaries before he showed them in class) sent me a message that we need to get caught up.

My new job starts this week, and I already feel tethered to my phone, which I hate. I think I might try a comedy book regarding "how the hell did we get to this, and why the hell do we put up with it?" It's probably going to begin with scraping ice off of your windshield and getting into a car that is freezing cold, as well as heating our homes in a way that makes you itchy and shed dry dead skin cells like it's dandruff.
