So was not as ready as I felt I was to leave the house today. Was feeling pretty good and was moving around the house well enough, so I thought I could handle a quick run out to go get some craft stuff for a school project. Yeah...by the time i was in the checkout lane I was shaking, gripping cart, breathing like I was meditating, and had tears streaming down my face. Not so much pain, but felt like I was going to pass out. I have to make another run out to Goodwill tomorrow to get Halloween costume making stuff and I just called them to insure they had some kind of scooter or wheelchair. Wheelchair it is. I don't give a crap what looks I may get. Better that than passing out in the middle of the store and ripping stitches when I fall.

Been there done that...in a department store...I made it to a bathroom where I spent the next 45 minutes before I could do anything...some of that was unconscious...but my issue was food poisoning not post opp.... if the Doctor gave you guidelines you should follow them....if not just don't over do it

Believe it or not, my discharge info said I could return to work in four days. What?? My surgery was last Thursday. It's been 8 days now and I'm still having pain, weakness, fatigue. Yeah. I don't know one job I could do feeling like this.

Going to try to make a Katniss Everdeen costume for my daughter. At least she knows who she wants to be. My son, on the other hand, haven't a clue. :shrug:

I'd go back and tell your doctor and see what he/she has to say about it...and then slap him/her... then go slap the carrot off Wirey's face

Today was a good day.
- I fixed up me truck.
- It got warm.
- Talked to #1 daughter.
- Brushed teeth with toothpaste.....not foot fungus cream.

Easier said than done. It's about a 2 hour drive away from here and given my inability to sit upright without pain for very long, having just one vehicle now Turk uses for work, and no gas money for the trip right now, seeing the doctor isn't that easy. Talked to a nurse at the VA hospital. And she wanted to know if I could come up today. Couldn't do it. We talked about Monday and I still don't know. We are going to figure it out then. Perhaps my local provider can help if she is willing. Don't know how much surgical and post op experience she has though and what she is comfortable dealing with.

I'm tellin'.... just as soon as I get up the energy to head on over there and tell someone..... but I will admit...you humans tend to run away when a Grizzly walks over to tell you something...so it may be awhile
