This is way beyond frustrating. Trying to open a new account somewhere else and running in to this:
Only alphanumeric characters are allowed in user names on xxxxxxxxxxx. The user name you have chosen contains characters that are not alphanumeric. Please choose another user name. Thanks!
What is not alphanumerical about: telanus. Had to drop the _, but no cigar on creating a new account.

My math teacher was 30 minutes late to class today. About half of the class left after 20 minutes. But another professor in the math department came in right before class was due to start and told us that he was going to be late and the we should work on our group project. I think it was rude of those people to leave, because it wasn't as though they didn't know where he was and thought he wasn't going to show up... We all knew he would show up eventually.

He had made a dentist appointment for his son a while back because he didn't know he'd be teaching our class. Our actual professor had surgery a few weeks ago, so this new guy is teaching our class for the time being. I think it was a good excuse.

My World Civilization teacher almost never shows up for classes on Fridays. It would be nice if she at least sent us an e-mail telling us when she's not going to be there so we don't have to drive all the way to school just to sit around bored until next class or have to drive back home for nothing. Not that I really do much in there. Turns out watching History Channel does pay off, all I have to do is take the occasional test in that class.

My Children's Literature professor canceled class all the time last semester. He's hang a note up on the door, and it was my only class on tuesdays, so I'd have to drive all the way back home with a feeling that I had wasted a lot of time. Firstly because I drove in for nothing, and secondly because I had been sitting around all morning just waiting to leave for class instead of doing anything productive.

That explains a lot about the current state of education.

I was interested in it at first, but we barely go into much detail about anything. It's all stuff I've heard a thousand times over. This week is an exception, we've been going pretty in depth about Florence and it's connection to the Renaissance. I'll be taking World Civ II next semester so hopefully it'll be much better.

You should see the math department. Most of the teachers are horrible... And many of the college-aged students in my classes don't know how to do middle-school level math. That's math for 11-13 year olds... It's crazy how stupid some people are and yet they still manage to get into college. How can you expect to teach math to kids if you don't even know how to do it!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Don't you live out the middle of nowhere as well? How long does it take you to get to class?

It only takes me about ten minutes to get to the parking lot from my house. I live outside of town, but not too far. Then I've got to walk for 5-10 minutes from the parking lot to my class. So driving in, walking to class, walking back, and driving back is a waste of 30-50 minutes of my day...

Is there anyone who doesn't live in the middle of nowhere? . . .whoa! philosophy.

Hey, hey, slow down, I haven't taken that class yet, and I haven't seen anything on History Channel about it either. :p The world seems so small this day and age, is anything really out of reach anymore?
