My university had a big co-op program, and for the computer science and engineering students, Research In Motion was one of the big, saught-after employers. The practical effect of all this was that if you hung out in the co-op building at job-matching time, every so often you'd hear someone happily shout, "I got a RIM job!!!"

My paper is going to be too long... But I don't want to shorten it. It's already 3 pages, and I'm not even half way done. It's supposed to be 4-5 pages when I'm done, but at this rate, it will be at least 7... I hope she doesn't mind... o_O

It is my own adaptation of Shakespeare's King Lear. I have to write a summary of what happens in each act of my version, describe the characters, and talk about key themes. So far I've gotten 3 of 5 acts written, and that's all. And it's already three pages. It's going to be really long. Maybe I'll change the margins to make it seem shorter. Usually I'm doing the opposite, trying to make it longer, but not this time.

:D No. I re-named him Elliot. My version takes place in a hospital. Lear retires, promotes Goneril(Gwen) and Regan(Rita) to his old position, and fires Cordelia(Courtney). They aren't based off real people. I'm trying to decide if Regan will gouge out Gloucester's eyes in my version or not. Maybe she'll just fire him or something...

I vote for eye gouging, she can use her power as hospital overlord to get some hack surgeon to remove his eyes while paralysed but not anesthetised :eek:

Believe me, the bloodier the play, the better the grade. I wrote a version of Little Foxes that was wall to wall zombies and decapitations. It was epic. :sarcastic

I've never had so much trouble making my paper short enough. It's already longer than the maximum length, and I'm not done yet... I'm trying to cut some stuff out, but I really want to keep everything that I've written... It's so difficult. I'm going to suggest to her that the assignment rules be changed for her next semester class, because given what we need to write, 5 pages just isn't enough.

Sounds like your teacher is lazy, I've had to write papers well over 7 pages for my writing 121 class. Most of the papers were really short though, like 3 pages.
