The girl you just called ugly? She spends hours putting on make-up just hoping someone would like her. The boy you just tripped? He gets enough abuse at home. The girl you just called fat? She starves herself to be skinny. Repost if u're against bullying
... and any of them might be your boss some day. ;)

I no want Lawrence to leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D: I luff him!! D:
If someone was luffing me, I wouldn't want to stick around. It sounds painful.

From what I've seen so far, the high school bullies and the popular kids have gone nowhere in life. The nerds, freaks and losers are all doing fine ;)

I've always thought being a nerd, freak, or loser in high school builds an inner character that serves well later.

I'd like to think so, considering I fell into all three categories :D

Honestly though, I reckon you're right. Adversity builds character and the people who suffered through school are better equipped to deal with the real world.

Right now, I'm trying to figure out how my government was found in contempt of itself, and I'm wondering whether this means we'll be having an election in a few months.
Ah, Harper. I didn't know that was possible, though. What Ignatieff said was amusing, though; I'm sure the Liberals were totally innocent (I seem to recall dead people being able to vote).

Is it just me who finds this article really, really odd?

EDIT: I prefer the way CTV words it; I haven't followed Canadian politics in a long while. http://www.ctv.ca/CTVNews/TopStories/20110321/ottawas-brink-of-election-politics-week-begins-110321/

Also, nerdiness translates well into marketable skills. Of all the people I knew in high school, exactly one ended up playing professional sports, and only then for two seasons.

OTOH, I can't count how many people I knew who ended up doing nerdy things professionally. I mean, I'm a professional nerd myself. One of my high school classmates wound up doing his PhD on soccer-playing communist robots.* There's a future in nerddom. :D

*Really! His thesis title was actually something about distributed strategizing and decision-making in autonomous AI networks with no defined heirarchy, but he used soccer playing robots to do his research, and "communist" sounds funnier than "distributed decision-making with no defined heirarchy".

There's a hilariously interesting topic that I bet is a boring read. :D Teehee.

Nerds, ninjas, engineers, these are a few of my favorite things.

May I have your attention please!

There are several words that I cannot help but mis-hear, no matter how hard I try. Here is the list of the words and what I hear:

"condiment": "condom mint"
"mediocre": "meaty ochre" (the nastiest crayon colour ever!)
"meteorologist: "meaty urologist"

If you keep this in mind, you won't have to ask me what I'm giggling about.

Thank you! Please carry on.

I was leaving the subway yesterday and some guy was bragging about how he was a celebrity.

"I was on the first Celebrity Apprentice of this season. Didn't you see my leg in that one shot?"

:biglaugh:

People will always find things to brag about. Hey, he made it onto RF! He's an even bigger celebrity now! :D

Fun fact: my sister did some extra work a few years back, so you can see the back of her head in a restaurant in Mean Girls, and she's in the audience of a concert in New York Minute.

I'm famous by association. :D
